Never Forget September 9, 2001

There are a few dates that stir the emotions of the American people.

On December 7, 1941, the Japanese military launched a surprise attack on the United States Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

June 6, 1944, is the day when more than 160,000 Allied forces landed in Nazi-occupied France as part of the biggest air, land and sea invasion ever executed.

November 22, 1963, was the day that President Kennedy was shot and killed in Dallas.

More recently, September 11, 2001, commonly known as 9/11, were four coordinated suicide terrorist attacks carried out by the militant Islamic extremist network al-Qaeda against the United States.

Someone at Nexstar’s WDTN (Dayton) needs to explain to the kids that the date was September 11th, and not September 9th.
