I seriously have lost track at how many times CNN has blown up their morning newscast and started over?

Apparently, it is about to happen again.

Jeff Zucker spent millions of dollars and tried different formats and different people to make a mark in the morning and every one of those attempts failed.

When Zucker first talked about revamping the morning news program, FTVLive suggested that he move Robin Meade over from HLN. It was a no brainer move that would have instantly gotten higher ratings.

Meade pulls good numbers on HLN with almost no promotion and a small budget.

Now, word is that Chris Licht is going to revamp CNN mornings once again.

I still think Licht maybe trying to make some play for Mika and Joe over at MSNBC, but it likely will not happen.

Word is that Licht wants to build a morning show that looks and feels like MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

I still think he would be wise to bring Meade and her loyal viewership over to CNN.

Will he do it?

Well, we told Jeff Zucker he should and he didn’t.

But, Licht is smarter than Zucker and understands news compared to opinion, so there is a chance.

But I would still put that chance at about 4%.
