The Death of OAN?

As most of you know, I’m not a big fan of cable news.

Cable news has done more to divide this country than Donald Trump, Nancy Pelosi of any politician.

That being said, calling One America News a cable news outlet is a slap in the face to cable news outlets.

OAN is a channel that panders to the right-wing radical and deals in lies and conspiracies.

It Is also very close to being dead.

This week, OAN falls off Verizon Fios, and this comes after AT&T dumped them earlier this year.

That means just since April, OAN will have been taken off the cable systems in almost 20 million homes. Starting next week, the cable network will be available only to a few hundred thousand people who subscribe to smaller cable providers.

OAN is trying to offer a subscription service, but it is likely that their sub numbers are very small.

My guess is OAN will stick around as a streaming service with little viewership and almost no influence.

Break out the tiny violin, because this is one failure that is good news.
