As nasty weather was headed towards the KTTC (Rochester, MN) studios, KTTC Chief Meteorologist Nick Jansen told the crew to head to their “safe space.”

The station writes, “Jansen and fellow KTTC Meteorologist Sarah Gannon noticed rotation on the radar in northwest Rochester, where KTTC is located. The tornado sirens could be heard outside, and as the KTTC weather team was telling everyone else to take shelter, they did too.”

Jansen told viewers that he was going to leave his microphone open and was taking his cellphone with him to the bathroom.

One employee in the studio could be seen running across the radar map to get to his “safe place.”

In the end, there were no confirmed tornados that hit Rochester.
