That's It?
/There used to be a time when a mass shooting at a local mall would be a huge story.
But, it seems that Scripps owned WRTV (Indianapolis) thinks that is no longer the case.
Three people were shot and killed at a mall in Greenwood, Ind. on Sunday and another couple of people were hurt. A ‘good Samaritan’ was able to take the shooter down with his own gun and stop the bloodshed.
When the Greenwood Police held a press conference about the shooting, all the stations in Indianapolis took the news conference live.
WRTV did not.
They ran a crawl telling viewers to head over to the station’s app to see the press conference live.
Of course, by the time you searched for the app, downloaded the app, opened the app and then navigated your way to the live video, which I’m guessing was proceeded by an ad, you might have missed a big chunk of the press conference.
Or, you could have done what many viewers did and just change the channel to a station that is a bit more committed to news coverage in the area.
Just saying….
