Going M-I-A in N-Y-C...

In all my years working in TV news, the longest vacation I ever got was a week off.

This is still better than what I have gotten since working at FTVLive.com, where I have never gotten a week off and in the past 8 1/2 years, have not taken a single day off, and that includes weekends and holidays.

So, I will admit to being a bit jealous over the fact that WPIX (NY) Morning Anchor Dan Mannarino appears to be headed off on an extended vacation.

I’m telling you, one of these days, I’m going to take a vacation.
