Nexstar Station Begs For Retweets

In another example of all about me TV, WFLA (Tampa) Anchor Josh Benson got a “haircut” to support the Tampa Bay Lighting in the Stanley Cup Finals.

Benson got the “haircut” but we have no idea what it is supposed to be?

But it didn’t end with just a bad haircut. WFLA posted a picture of Benson’s bad Do and asked for retweets. If they got enough on them, they would change the station’s Twitter account profile picture to whatever that is?

It appears that the station reached the low threshold of 100 retweets and followed through with changing the TV station’s Twitter account to the back of a guy’s head that got a really bad haircut.

So, now viewers can read news about a kidnapping presented by a station that makes a mockery of their social media.

Uncle Perry must be so proud…
