5 Years In...

WTIC (Hartford) Anchor Ben Goldman is celebrating 5 years at the Tegna station and he just turned 26 years old.

Goldman tweeted that he anchored his first newscast on his 21st birthday at WTIC which is in the 32nd TV market.

Many of you won’t believe this, but there was a time in TV news that if you were 21-years-old looking to anchor in TV news, you would have to start in a tiny market, making little money and reporting, while having an awful schedule.

The times have sure changed.
