Awesome News!
/I’ll be honest, there has been a lot of great news to share in a while.
But, yesterday, I got a DM that was some of the best news I have heard in quite some time.
WFMY (Greensboro) Anchor Julie Luck DM’d to say, “My cancer is in remission. I’m so relieved and grateful!”
Back in January, FTVLive told you that Luck’s doctors diagnosed her with colon cancer and she has been off the air since the beginning of the year.
We love to report that Julie has gone from cancer fighter to cancer survivor. Her blood work showed the chemotherapy treatments were effective and no more rounds are needed. Her oncologist declared that her cancer is in "clinical remission."
“While I may be years away from being declared cured, I’m grateful and relieved that the latest lab tests showed favorable results and normal markers," she wrote in part in a special message on Facebook. "This is the news I’ve been hoping for. I have so many people to thank for lifting me up during these dark several months: my family, friends, colleagues, viewers, fellow patients and the many medical experts who provided excellent care. I also praise God for His healing, strength and grace.”
I would say that Luck was on her side, but I think we all know it was more than just that.
Great news indeed!
