It was interesting watching this play out on Nexstar’s WPRI in Providence.

WPRI’s Tim White did a first-class caliber report with former students of North Kingstown high school who were subjected to the “Naked Fat Test” by their coach.

White interviewed a number of men that talked about standing naked in front of their coach as part of a so-called test.

WPRI and White went to great lengths to conceal and protect the identity of the former students who were clearly uncomfortable, nervous and understandably hesitant to have their faces and voices all over the news regarding what they experienced at the hands of a powerful coach.

Now, let’s bring in Dan Yorke, who also works for the Nexstar station and also as a radio guy in the market.

Yorke is downplaying the story by White and acting as if it is no big deal.

It obviously is a very big deal to the men that have stepped up and spoken about what went down.

Here’s Yorke using air quotes as he tried to throw cold water on the story by his colleague White.

White’s story is getting traction and has become the subject of a Federal investigation against the coach.

As for Yorke who is said to have a cozy relationship with the coach, he stayed on his point of trying to downplay the report.
