Tegna Station Dumps Out of Congressional Hearings

Tegna’s WGRZ in Buffalo dumped out of coverage of the January 6th Congressional hearings to air their 11AM newscast.

After the newscast, they joined the hearings already in progress.

It seems strange to have the hearings airing on your channel, dump out for a half hour and them come back to the hearings with viewers missing 30 minutes of what was discussed.

But, WGRZ was able to air commercials during its newscast and of course, that is much more important than the democracy of the country.
