Racist in Memphis

WHBQ Chief Meteorologist Joey Sulipek made what many consider a racist post on social media.

Sulipek tweeted about NBA player Draymond Green during a Grizzlies / Warriors game and referred to the play as a “knuckle dragger.”

Draymond Green is Black, Sulipek is white, and the term “knuckle dragger” has been used by many racist people to refer to African-Americans.

The online definition of knuckle dragger: unintelligent person. One resembling a lower primate or un-evolved human.

Many reacted to the racist post, and it wasn’t long after that Sulipek deleted the post, he deleted his entire account from Twitter.

One viewer called Sulipekout for the racist post and he doubled down on what he said:

We checked the Cox station’s social media and the station’s website, and we could not find anywhere that the station has addressed this post.

If you ask us, Sulipek’s post was clearly out of bounds. FTVLive doesn’t have any say in this issue, but if we did, Sulipek would be the station’s former Chief Meteorologist.

I would also hope that the station would issued an apology to Green.

Just saying….
