Chris Licht has started his gig as the new head of CNN and he held a town hall to answer some of the questions that the staff had.

Licht said that he would have a replacement in place for Chris Cuomo’s 9PM time slot by the Fall. In the mean time, he says he wants to try some things out in the time period.

He also said that unlike Jeff Zucker, he will not lead the morning meeting. He says that he will be on the call, and offer his thoughts, but he will let the staff do what they are being paid to do.

Also, Puck reports that Chris Wallace will move his now defunct CNN+ show over to HBO Max. Wallace will still continue to contribute to CNN as well.

As for Licht, he is just getting started in the long process of trying to bring respect and credibility back to CNN.
