And Another One in Des Moines

Longtime KCCI Reporter Cynthia Fodor will sign off one final time on June 1 after close to three decades with the Hearst station.

Fodor hired as an anchor back in 1994 and in 2015 she transitioned to the role of chief political reporter which is the job she is still in.

“Cynthia is a living example of what it means to be Iowa’s news leader," said KCCI's president Brian Sather. "For decades, she has developed sources, covered stories where they happen, and earned respect from politicians on both sides while holding them accountable."

"I loved every single moment of traveling across the state and telling the stories of Iowans every day,” said Fodor in the release announcing her departure. “I have been so blessed to work with the best people in the business at KCCI and it has been a privilege to serve the good people of Iowa. Thank you for watching and inviting me into your living rooms for nearly 30 years."

She signs off on June 1st.
