Bouncing into the Burgh

Hearst-owned WTAE (Pittsburgh) announced they have hired a new Anchor for their late news.

Kristen Powers comes to the Burgh from Sinclair’s WJLA and will anchor the 11PM newscast.

“I am eager to join the incredibly talented team at WTAE Channel 4,” Powers said in a statement. “Pittsburgh is a city that I’ve admired for years. I am thrilled to now call it home and I look forward to experiencing all the great things this area has to offer, while I continue to do the job that I love.”

“Kristen is an exceptional storyteller who has demonstrated her ability to cover big breaking news, politics and issues in the local community,” WTAE news director Jim Parsons said in a statement. “News is a 24/7 business and Kristen will make sure Pittsburghers are well-informed every weeknight.”
