New Hires in Tallahassee

Gray’s WCTV (Tallahassee) has added a number of staffers to newsroom.

Here is the list of new hires at WCTV along with the email announcement for each:

STACI INEZ (MMJ). She started Monday.

"Next month we'll welcome another new face to the WCTV newsroom. Staci Inez will be joining us as an MMJ. Staci has worked in several markets, including Raleigh, Myrtle Beach, Allentown and most recently Asheville, NC. She is a Greensboro, NC native and is looking forward to moving to Florida. Staci loves being active outdoors and playing sports including volleyball and soccer. She is an avid reader and enjoys volunteering in the community. Like many of us, Staci also enjoys meeting new people and talking! She looks for opportunities to spread her positive energy. Staci's first day is Monday, May 9."

Julia Melim (Digital Anchor):
Julia Melim is joining on as our first ever Digital Anchor. Many of you have already heard a little about Julia. She is wrapping up her time at KAUZ as the host of News Channel 6's City Guide, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Before that, she spent time as a red-carpet host for outlets in Los Angeles and New York City, including Hollywood TV via Reuters’ digital distribution platform. Julia is a University of Kansas grad, and she can't wait to join us in Florida. Her first day is May 4.

--MIKE ROGERS (MMJ/Capital City Correspondent):Mike Rogers will join us as our next Capital City Correspondent. Mike is currently a reporter at KXII, the Gray station in Sherman, Texas near the Texas/Oklahoma border. Mike is originally from Chicago but has called Frisco, Texas home for many years. He is a TCU graduate, and he's very excited about the opportunity to take over our City/County Government coverage. Mike's first day is May 31.

Elliot Broger (producer):

Elliot Broger is joining our producer ranks. Elliot is from Crawfordville, and is finishing up at Louisiana State University, Shreveport. Elliot is currently producing 7am newscasts at KTAL, and he is excited to get started here after graduation. Elliot is a member of the Air Force, and he grew up in Crawfordville (after living in five other states by the time he was 6!) He is a Wakulla High grad, and his favorite sports team is the Orlando Magic. His first day is May 25, but he will visit us in-person on April 21.

---JOSH GREEN (weekend Meteorologist/MMJ):

Josh Green is joining us as the new weekend evening meteorologist. Josh is a senior at FSU, and weather has always been a passion. He is from West Palm but he has enjoyed calling Tallahassee home as he's pursued his degree in Meteorology. When Josh is not working weekends or filling in during the week, he will be working on weather projects for both digital and on-air.
