The on-air talent at WDIV in Detroit is being asked to open up their closets so the new “Style Editor” can take a look inside and “help” the talent with their on-air look.

The talent was sent an internal memo, it says in part, “The image consultations are a priority for all parties concerned. They require commitment and compliance”

The memo ends by saying that the collaboration, “elevates our brand and the credibility of our talent while engaging and inspiring our viewers, readers and followers.”

I’ll be honest, I have never watched a newscast in my life and been “inspired” by what an Anchor was wearing.

Needless to say, not all the talent at WDIV are happy with this new initiative.
