Elon Buys Twitter
/A lot can happen between now and when the deal closes, by as of this minute Elon Musk is set to buy the social media platform Twitter and take it private.
The left-wing media is flipping out about it and the right-wing media are acting as if this is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
I got calls from a couple of media outlets that wanted my take on the matter?
I never called them back, because in all honesty, I don’t really care.
I have been on Twitter longer than 99% of you guys. I joined back in 2007 and I have never really “gotten into Twitter.”
Of all the social media platforms, Twitter is the one I use the most, but I still don’t use it that much.
Despite the fact I have been on Twitter for 15 years, I still only follow 70-something people.
As for Elon Musk buying Twitter?
I say good for him. He can afford it, so go ahead and do it. I am a big fan of Elon Musk. I drive a Tesla and I think it is the best car I have ever driven. I love that he wants to explore space and what he has done with Space X is amazing.
Does being a fan of Musk mean that I think he is right about everything and I think all of his views are dead on?
Hell no, there are a number of things I don’t like that he says or believes, but guess what? I could pretty much say that about everyone.
You see, there was a time when people could have different opinions and thoughts and still be civil with each other and even friends.
Now, we live in a world if someone doesn’t believe in exactly the things you believe in, you’re awful. Just look at the political discourse in this country. The belief for so many people is that their side is always right and the other side is always wrong.
The truth is, sometimes people on the right get it wrong and the same could be said about those on the left. No one and no side is right all the time. But, if you listen to people talk politics, you would never hear that nowadays.
Some of the left feel that Elon Musk buying Twitter is going to be awful. While those on the right are cheering it.
Here’s the deal, if after Musk buys Twitter and you don’t like it, log off and delete your account. If you love it, stay right where you are.
If I walk up to a group of people and they are talking about stuff I could care less about, I leave the conversation. It really isn’t that hard.
I saw a clip from CNN media critic Brian Stelter and of course he thinks Musk buying Twitter is going to be so awful.
Stelter on Elon Musk buying Twitter: "If you get invited to something where there are no rules, where there is total freedom for everybody, do you actually want to go to that party or are you going to decide to stay home?" pic.twitter.com/rhSmF04OUk

Stelter already limits who can comment on his Twitter posts and I guess he’s afraid that might go away.
In other words, he wants to say what he thinks, but he doesn’t want to hear what you and I have to say.
“Total freedom for everybody” is what this country was founded upon.
I will withhold my judgement on Musk owned Twitter until I see it.
And I think it would be best if everyone else do the same.
Just saying….
