New GM Named in Philly
/CBS has named a new GM for their Philly station, KYW.
Kelly Frank has landed the GM gig. She was the News Director…..errrrrrr….. the Director on Content for Tegna’s WSTP in Tampa.
It appears she is making her exit at the perfect time as Tegna is about to be taken over by the hedge fund Standard General.
About her KYW job, Frank said, “I am excited and deeply honored to have the opportunity to join CBS News and Stations at such a transformative time and work with the top-flight team at CBS Philly,” Frank said. “I love the rich history and diversity that exists in Philadelphia, both at KYW and in the community. I look forward to joining the team and embracing all that makes Philly so special.”
Prior to her nearly four years at WTSP, Frank spent three years as the director of news and digital content at WBNS-TV, the CBS Television Network affiliate in Columbus, Ohio. Her background also includes serving as an executive producer at CNN in Atlanta and being the executive producer of evening news at WTTG-TV in Washington, D.C. In addition, she has served as an executive producer at KPNX-TV in Phoenix and WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee, and a producer at WCMH-TV in Columbus.
