And Now It's Gone...
/O’Hara has only been in the TV news business a few months and so we tried to explain to her that the studio is a place that should be shown respect. This is the face of your station and this is where viewers tune in to get the news from you.
While it would be nice if News Directors around the country would remind their staff that the news studio is the place to present the news and should not be used as a backdrop for some dancing video or other social media shenanigans, that is not likely going to happen.
I wonder how a News Director would feel if you walked into their house, took your shoes off, and threw your smelly feet up on their kitchen table?
We do have to give Scarlett O’Hara some credit. After seeing the story on FTVLive, she took the picture down off her IG.
Maybe it is a lesson learned.
Of course, it appears that News 12 Long Island’s Erin Colton, who has been in the business longer than 10 minutes, hasn’t learned the lesson, or just doesn’t give the anchor desk the respect that it deserves.
