News Anchors or Pitch People?

There was a time if your News Anchors popped up in an ad for a store or business, they would be looking for a new job.

But, it appears that is no longer the case and the payola/plugola days are over.

The clothing company Talbots posted on their IG a number of TV News Anchors wearing their clothes.

Did these news people get paid for the ad? Free clothes? What about their credibility?

What the hell is happening to this business?
