That Didn't Last Long....

When Brien Kennedy was fired as the GM at CBS O&O KYW in Philly, he did not go quietly.

Kennedy basically started the ball rolling that led to the firing of CBS O&O President Peter Dunn and VP of News David Friend.

Kennedy has a reported lawsuit against CBS, but he did land another GM job, although in a much smaller market.

After getting the boot in Philly, Kennedy landed at Nexstar’s WIVB in Buffalo back in the Summer of 2020.

But, it appears that he is shuffling off from Buffalo less than 3 years into his new job.

In a memo to the staff, Kennedy wrote, ““Although it has been just over two years that we have all worked together I am very proud of what we have accomplished. Our news team and news leadership has served our viewers extremely well while producing quality journalism that has kept our community safe and informed during a very important time with the lead story being focused on all the issues surrounding Covid.”

He leaves at the end of the May book.
