That'll Do It...
/CNN is getting into the game very late with their CNN+ streaming service that is expected to launch next month with a $6 a month price tag.
CNN has lost 90% of its viewers on their free cable channel and yet, they somehow think that people will shell out $6 bucks a month to watch more of their crap.
Many inside and out of the business are thinking that CNN+ will be a dud.
Well, at least most thought that until CNN media critic Brian Stelter broke the news in his nightly newsletter.
He wrote,
“Today's newsletter begins with some breaking news about ... this newsletter! I'm coming to CNN+ with a weekday program called "Reliable Sources Daily." The live show will be part of the launch lineup of the new CNN streaming service debuting this spring.”
Hold your horses the savior is coming!
Brian Stelter will have a daily show on CNN+ in which he will cover up the crap happening inside CNN and rail on about how evil Fox News is each and every day.
I bet he’s thrilled.
“I am personally thrilled because there are so many compelling stories to cover through a media lens. Sometimes the best vehicle is Sunday's flagship "Reliable Sources," a unique part of CNN's weekend schedule for 30 years. Other times it's an in-depth podcast or a special edition of this newsletter, two of the ways we have built upon the "Reliable" brand in recent years. Now "Reliable Sources Daily" is the ultimate expansion,” Stelter says.
So, for all of you that thought CNN+ was going to be lacking with scintillating content.
