NBC Pushes Out Another Longtime Anchor

It appears that the NBC O&O’s are looking to rid themselves of experienced longtime talent.

We told you how KNBC pushed their main Anchor and a number of veteran Reporters out the door with a buyout.

Now, it appears that WCAU, the NBC O&O in Philly is doing the same thing.

Longtime Anchor Jim Rosenfield is leaving the station.

What is interesting here, WCAU General Manager Ric Harris held a station-wide meeting on Thursday to talk about the November ratings. He made no mention of Rosenfield leaving during that meeting.

Then at 7:00 the same night, he throws out this internal memo.

Station insiders thought Harris was disrespectful by not formally announcing the main Anchor’s departure in the meeting.
