Two Anchors Missing in Tampa

Back on November 21st, FTVLive told you WTSP (Tampa) Morning Met Rich Fields made a racist comment during the newscast.

During some “happy talk” Fields makes the commnet, while talking about co-anchor Jabari Thomas, saying that if police checked his license, they might see he has a felony.

Since that incident, neither Fields or Thomas have been seen on the air at the Tegna station.

Fields bio is still listed on the station’s website, but he has not been seen on the news. Quite frankly, we’re wondering why Tegna hasn’t fired him and if they have, why is he still listed on the website.

Thomas has also been M-I-A, but it appears that he is taking time off after the incident on air.

Apparently, Tegna is giving Thomas time off to “take care of himself” and there is no word on when he is returning.
