That is a Lot of Movement in a Short Time
/Terra Brantley began her career in television in Myrtle Beach, SC and then came to Fort Wayne where she worked for two of the four television stations before becoming a fixture at WANE TV.
She had a remarkable 28 year career there and became a Indiana Associated Press Hall of Fame inductee in 2019. Then in June, 2021, it was announced she was leaving her position to become the President/CEO of the Fort Wayne Urban League.
But just 8 months into that job,it was announced that she would be taking over as President/GM of Northeast Indiana Public Radio.
Then, just 5 months into the radio gig,WPTA (ABC affiliate) announced that she would be returning to TV to host a segment called "In the Spotlight". This coincided with the end of her non-compete agreement with WANE TV.
She has now worked at three of the four TV stations in Fort Wayne.
But, it’s not over.
WFFT in Ft. Wayne just announced that Brantley the station as the 10PM Anchor starting on December 12th.
"Terra is Fort Wayne,” WFFT News Director Andy Paras said. “She knows the community so well and the community knows her. We’re looking forward to having her on the desk every night, helping us tell stories that matter to people that you won’t see anywhere else.”
This move will make her the first on-air talent to work at all four Fort Wayne TV stations.
But, we have to ask, how long will she stay in this job?
