Signing off in New Hampshire

After 34 years, WMUR Reporter Jennifer Crompton is calling it a day.

She has worn many hats, including producer, reporter, executive producer, assistant news director, weekend anchor, and news director. She has also been heavily involved in the coverage of seven first-in-the-nation primaries.

Crompton is a New Hampshire native and started her career at WMUR as a producer before becoming a reporter. In 1991, she landed her dream job as the Seacoast bureau reporter, and in 2000, she became the news director. However, in 2004, she took a break to spend time with her family and worked part-time producing segments for New Hampshire Chronicle. Once her children were grown, she returned to her beloved Seacoast bureau reporter position.

In recognition of her many years of service in the news industry, Crompton recently received a commendation from Governor Chris Sununu. We congratulate Crompton on her retirement and thank her for all of her hard work and dedication to the station and the community.
