Scott,

You’re 100% right on this and it should be the most important thing a station should be working on right now. The amount of money a station is losing in ads simply because the viewers are cutting the cord is on them to counter by offering a 24/7 streaming network to "stop the bleed". DMA is also an issue for cord cutters. For example, if you're a ct resident living in Fairfield it's considered NYC DMA and thus you can only watch NYC stations - even on youtube tv, hulu etc. So all 4 ct stations are losing cord-cutters/ratings/ads simply because they have no streaming networks. They broadcast online but watch online vs OTT? Some of these station groups really have their head in the sand. Scripts just brought in record profit via newsy and court tv. Ad buyers know how fragmented the audience is now so they want to be everywhere even if the numbers are all spread out. So the rate of failure is low but the benefits are high.

You’ve watched some of the bigger markets, but have you seen what some of the smaller stations are doing?

WDBJ does a ton. Look at their Facebook page. Those also stream on their website. Same for 13ABC in Toledo. Also, WOIO. Also, WAVE.

Check them out. You’d be surprised.

Email in regards to that Trump quote:

"I think if they win, I should get all the credit, and if they lose, I should not be blamed at all,"-Hey!  When did Donald Trump become a News Director?

Steve Kornaki did an excellent job on Election Night! The *“Giggle Girls” have to go! They weigh down what could be an excellent broadcast.

They’re (Giggle Girls) fine alone, too much giggling for me. Stupid, stupid stuff. Brian Williams brought credibility to the broadcast.

I don’t know how to give feedback to the suits at MSNBC.
