Wow! This is Bad...

KRDO (Colorado Springs) did a story about a fatal car crash on the interstate.

This might be a good lesson for young Journalists that are getting started in this business.

First, the anchors on set toss to the Reporter in the newsroom (which apparently doesn’t have lights) and tell us that the Reporter is going to give us the identity of the victim that died in the crash.

That never happens.

The Reporter then does an MOS at the scene and it makes drivers look incredibly selfish.

One guy rants about the backup and ask “how many people died?”

Like he should not have to sit in traffic for just a single fatality.

Another lady complains that she isn’t going to make the potluck she was going to.

Guess what lady, the person that died isn’t going to make their appointment either.

Lastly, the Reporter tells us that the two people that were in the semi-truck that was hit from behind, weren’t hurt because they were wearing their seatbelts. When a car runs into the back of an 18-wheeler, the driver of the truck will barely feel it.

The Reporter then says that the woman that died, did so because she wasn’t wearing her seatbelt.

I’m all for seatbelts and safety, but looking at her pickup truck after the crash, I’m not sure a seatbelt would have helped.

Take a look and see what you think of this story.
