A Newscast with No Reporters

There is no doubt that we are in one of the slowest news periods of the year.

The time between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day is often a time when it just doesn’t seem like much news happens for local TV stations.

The 6:30 pm newscast Sunday on WBNS TV had no local reporters in the show.

The only story to have a reporter was a CBS national pkg. The station also had very little new local video.

Did everyone have the day off at the Tegna station, or is the station so short staffed when someone calls in sick there is no backup?

I mean, there is slow news, but you can’t tell me there was no news.
