Well, this is the end of longtime news anchors announcing their retirements, or their cancer diagnosis, or their battle with depression. This is the last day of the November book and that means we won’t be hearing from the Anchor folks again until February.

The book ends and that also means this will be the last day you see the main Anchors on the newscasts, until at least next week.

Tomorrow, the news will be anchored by the weekend Anchor, or maybe just a Reporter. The newscast will feature stories of people feeding the homeless on Thanksgiving and you won’t see that story again until Christmas Day, when feeding the homeless will be a story in the newscasts.

TV news doesn’t care about people going hungry for 363 days out of the year. But, come Thanksgiving and Christmas, the story will make the “A” block.

Hope you all made it through the book and in just a few months, we get to do it all over again.
