Word is that NBC “Today” show correspondent Miguel Almaguer has been suspended by the network for his now-retracted report about the attack on Paul Pelosi.

Almaguer reported that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband didn’t let on that he was in danger when cops showed up at his San Francisco home right before he was assaulted with a hammer.

The network is now conducting an investigation as to how the report made air.

“The piece should not have aired because it did not meet NBC News reporting standards,” the network said in a statement.

The Daily Beast reported that the network has suspended Almaguer for the report.

NBC is not commenting.
