Do You Blame Them

This should come to no surprise to anyone outside of a TV network’s corporate office.

The combined ratings for the midterm elections were way down. According to Nielsen, 22.2 million people watched primetime election night coverage on ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and NBC.

That number is down 32 percent from 2018, when those six outlets averaged a combined 32.5 million viewers in primetime.

The only surprise I see in those numbers are that they will only off by 10 million people, I would have expected more.

You have a political system that is broken.

Many unqualified people running for office.

Two parties that care more about their party than the country.

And, a bunch of partisan networks reporting the results.

To be down just 32%, I’m shocked it wasn’t 50%.

Just saying…
