Signing Off in Chi-Town
/Longtime WLS Anchor Alan Krashesky announced that he is going to retire after 40 years at the station.
Of course, he won’t be leaving until the end of the November book when sweeps is happening.
Krashesky decided to announce his retirement on October 4th, because it was that day, 40 years ago that he started at the station as a Reporter.
“It’s been a great ride,” he said on Tuesday’s 6 p.m. newscast. “It’s been a great, great ride. Now, the time is simply the right time.”
Krashesky has been anchoring the station’s 5, 6 and 10 PM newscasts.
He signs off on November 22nd.
