Can You Perform on the Anchor Desk?

It appears that Scripps-owned WTVF (Nashville) is losing an Anchor.

The station just posted a job ad and I guess they are looking for an actor to anchor the news. The job posting says the station is looking for an “excellent performer on the anchor desk”.

If I was running a TV station I would look for an “excellent Journalist”, but, it appears that stations are now more interested in “performers”.

No word if they also want you to be a social media influencer as well, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
