You Can't Debate These Low Numbers

Nexstar’s News Nation put on a debate between Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who is seeking a third term, and Beto O’Rourke who is challenging him.

If News Nation was hoping for a huge ratings boost, well, it didn’t happen.

The debate didn’t even come close to cracking 100K total viewers and the demo numbers were under 5K.

After the debate NewsNation came out with a piece asking who won the debate – I think given the ratings, the network was the clear loser.

This will also send a message to other political campaigns that doing something with News Nation, given their viewership, might not be worth the time.
