As layoffs were happening at Twitter on Friday, a couple of pranksters showed up outside Twitter HQ carrying cardboard boxes and acted as if they just gotten laid off at the social media platform.

CNBC Reporter Deirdre Bosa fell for the hoax and she addressed it on the network.

It seems that pranking the media is now “a thing” and it means that we all must be careful of these tools.

I’m sure Bosa hating going on air to admit that she got played, but at least she did it, and she took the full blame.
