BREAKING NEWS! Phoenix Station Giant Graphics Blunder

Of all the stations to make this mistake.

As you know, former KSAZ Anchor Kari Lake is running to be the governor of Arizona.

Despite spending 20 plus years in the media, Lake has attacked the media constantly and last night, her old station gave her some ammunition.

During the newscast, KSAZ, the Fox O&O in Phoenix, and the station that Lake worked out for decades, put up and election graphic.

The graphic showed Lake’s challenger Katie Hobbs beating Lake 53% to 47%, despite the fact that election day was still nearly 2 weeks away.

KSAZ is not the first station to make this sort of error and it was obviously part of a standard graphics rehearsal for the election night that was not supposed to go on air. Of course, Lake knows this as she has covered countless elections in her time as a news anchor at the station. While many politicians would not understand how a mistake like this could happen, Lake certainly does know, but you knew she would jump all over it.

Lake has spread misinformation about the 2020 election and still says that Trump won the race despite there being no evidence of widespread election fraud.

By KSAZ making this mistake, if gives Lake more ammunition to push her lies.

AZ Republican State Rep Jake Hoffman quickly saw a way to get noticed and sent out this release.

KSAZ posted this about their mistake.

Clearly, this was a mistake.

But, the fact that this was Kari Lake’s old station and the fact that Lake has constantly attacked the media and falsely questioned the integrity of the election process, it is one giant mistake.

As trust in the media is at all-time lows, mistakes like this make it worse.

This mistake would have been bad for any station, but the fact that it is Lake’s old station, it just magnifies the error.

Lastly, it’s things like this that will make for a very uncomfortable election night for the crews that will be assigned to cover Lake’s race - especially if she does end up losing. And, if Lake does lose, you can bet she will claim it was “rigged” and point to this incident over and over.
