Leaving the Business After Less Than 5 Years

KVEO (Brownsville, TX) morning Anchor Pauline Fitzgerald is leaving the Nexstar station after less than a year and a half on the job.

But, she’s not just leaving the station, she is leaving TV news altogether.

She has been in TV news less than 5 years and has decided to move on from the business. This seems to be happening over and over as people that have entered TV news, have decided that the low pay and bad hours are a reason to leave.

Media companies must start paying people a decent wage or you are going to find that the only people sticking around, is the low hanging fruit.
