One of the most well-known scenes in the movie The Christmas Story is when the kid licks a pole and his tongue gets stuck.

The kid screams in pain and his friends laugh.

Of course, this is a little kid in a movie and no one in real life would be stupid enough to put their tongue on a frozen pole.

Right?

Wrong.

WTTG (DC) weatherman Matthew Cappucci did just that and once again helped TV news reach historic lows in trust from viewers.

WTTG General Manager Patrick Paolini must be so very proud.
