/If you are still one of those that have your head in the sand and think there is nothing wrong with the media, it might be time to wake up.
A new Gallup Poll shows that just 7% of Americans have a great deal of trust and confidence in the media.
7 percent!
Only 27% have a fair amount of trust in the media.
28% of U.S. adults say they do not have very much confidence and 38% have none at all in newspapers, TV, and radio.
Just to let you know the direction this is going, this is the first time that the percentage of Americans with no trust at all in the media is higher than the percentage with a great deal or a fair amount combined.
So, if you think all is well, the Gallup poll is here to tell you it’s not.
When you show your bias or act like an idiot on social media, this is part of the reason that trust is at an all-time low.
It’s time to focus on your job and not on your next TikTok.
It wasn’t that long ago that the American people had great trust in the media, clearly, that trust is gone now.
The only way to get it back is for everyone to step up and do their job better. That means everyone from News Directors, Anchors, Producers, Photographers, and Reporters need to act like their future depends on the job they are doing now.
Do you know why?
Because it does.
Just remember 7%.
