Walker: “Yep …. just 30 more box tops and I get a toy gun to go along with it”
News Nation held the debate between Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker, both of whom are running for the US Senate.
A big deal was made when Walker pulled out a badge and was scolded by the moderator for using a prop. Walker didn’t understand her meaning of “prop” and said his badge was not a prop it was real.
The debate was all over social media with those laughing at the moment and those defending Walker and his badge.
It should be pointed out that Walker was given the badge and the title of “honorary deputy” in a Georgia county. This does not make him a cop.
Years ago, I helped a local Sheriff’s department here in Florida shoot a training video. The Sheriff later made me an “honorary deputy” and gave me a badge similar to the one Walker is showing off above. This did not make an a law enforcement officer and although I still think I have the badge in a box somewhere, I did not carry it around like Walker and proclaimed to be a police officer.
There is no doubt that the political system is broken. I’m talking about on both sides of the aisle. We have a number of people across the country running for office that have no qualifications and are just running on their name.
I don’t care if you’re a Republican or a Democrat, this country deserves better. Most of these politicians will and do put the party over the American people.
No matter which side you are on if you are one of those people that think your side is always right, you are also part of the problem.
There was a debate for two people running for the U.S. Senate and the “biggest story” the media covered after the debate, was Herschel Walker and his “prop” badge.
We need the media to focus on real issues and maybe then, we can start fixing the broken political system.
