Gone in Columbus
/Well, that certainly did not last long…..
Kenya Ramirez joined Nexstar’s WCMH (Columbus) in July of 2020.
If you look for her on the station’s website, you will see that her bio has been scrubbed and her station branded Twitter is gone.
Newsroom insiders say that her desk has been cleaned out and it appears that she not only has left the station, but the TV news business altogether.
Word is she took some “director of communications” job and while I’m sure that the pay is better and the hours are better, it still just sounds so boring to us.
It appears that Ramirez joins a growing list that are leaving the Nexstar station in Ohio.
Reporter Catherine Ross has jumped to WEWS in Cleveland, and Statehouse Reporter Adrienne Robbins left WCMH a couple of weeks ago.
Staffers also got and email saying that the station’s Chief Engineer has “left to pursue other business opportunities and is no longer and employee.”
Last one out, can you hit the lights?
