How's That Working Out?
/Despite the fact that COVID cases are on the rise, many TV stations continue to bring people back into the office.
A number of Tegna stations are doing so, let’s see how that is going?
Back on December 1st, KING (Seattle) Executive Producer Alex Vitale sent an internal memo to the staff, informing them that she would like the nightside staff to all gather in a conference room to meet and talk about stories.
“I like to see your faces and hear your point of view,” Vitale says in the memo obtained by FTVLive.
Judging by the photo of a KING meeting, it appears that social distancing is not being practiced at the Tegna station.
It seems that these in-person meetings are really not necessary, except for the fact the EP wants to see their face.
“While the other stations in the area (KIRO, KOMO, and KCPQ) continue to operate at least partially remote, the KING newsroom is filled with a majority of news department staff,” said one KING staffer to FTVLive.
So, how’s it going?
According to these internal memos sent out to the staff at KING, cases of COVID at the station are on the rise.
Oh! Also, the General Manager sent out a memo saying now is the time to nominate for their exceptional work.
If I was a KING, I would nominate anyone that didn’t give me COVID.
Just saying…
They are even bringing Anchor’s on the show to talk and laugh about them having COVID:
You may have been wondering where @AmityAddrisi has been lately🤔. Well, she joined the show to explain. 😥 We are just glad she and her family are ok! ❤️ Stay safe out there everyone! pic.twitter.com/xodRWKXhSn
