Adding News in OKC

Hearst owned KOCO (Oklahoma City) says that they will be adding a new newscast starting next week.

The station is tacking on an 11AM newscast that will feature and all female Anchor team. The newscast will be fronted by Alejandra Briones, who will also continue to do the morning news. She will be joined on the 11 a.m. broadcast by Meteorologists Taylor Cox and Sabrina Bates.

"As Oklahomans, we understand the importance of delivering local news that viewers can trust, whenever they need it," KOCO 5 News Director Shawnda Adams said. "This new newscast allows us to expand on our commitment to deliver viewers the live, local, late-breaking news and first alert weather that they rely on at an additional time from our team of award-winning local journalists."

This newscast will air in place of Dr. Oz, who is running for political office.
