Bumped Up at Fox News (Updated)
/Update: FTVLive screwed up this story in our original post. We said Jesse Watters was taking over Luo Dobbs’ old spot. That was not correct.
If you were hoping that Fox News would be maybe adding a bit of diversity in the 7PM hour, you might be a bit disappointed.
They went with a white male….I know….shocking, right?
FNC announced that former Bill O’Reilly minion Jesse Watters is getting the gig.
Watters spent years ambushing people as part of the O’Reilly show schtick and since then has become a favorite of the Fox News brass.
“Jesse’s versatility and hosting acumen has grown exponentially over the last five years, and he has developed a deep connection to the audience through two hit shows The Five and Watters’ World. We look forward to watching him expand his connection even further through this new solo weeknight hour,” said FNC boss Suzanne Scott.
As for Watters, we bet he's thrilled?
“I’m thrilled to take on this new challenge and am grateful for the opportunity,” he said.
