The station is also looking for another Weekend Meteorologist that will shoot and edit during the week. According to the posting, WTVO/WQRF (Rockford) is looking for someone that will use their science degree on the weekend and then, go out and shoot or edit stories on the weekday. It also says that you will aid in the writing of the newscasts.
That’s a lot of duties, it must pay like gangbusters.
Well….. According to the station’s job post, the gig pays $10.00 - $13.12 an hour. Never mind the fact that by state law, the minimum wage for employers to pay their staff is $11 bucks an hour.
The job posting is labeled as “urgently hiring.” I guess Nexstar is having trouble filling the job.
