Dave Briggs joins Newsy as Host of “Morning Rush,” live weekdays, from 7-11 a.m. ET. Briggs is the former co-host of CNN’s Early Start. Prior to CNN, Briggs hosted a variety of programs for NBC Sports including coverage of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs, NASCAR Sprint Cup and hosting the Rio Olympics tennis studio.

Before his role at NBC Sports, he co-hosted 'FOX & Friends Weekend' at FOX News, covering the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections, among other news topics. Briggs spent nearly a decade covering local news in Rapid City, Tulsa, and Boston - where he covered both Boston Red Sox World Series Championships and New England Patriots Super Bowl titles.
