Met's Son Enters Hospice

While many of us have worked from home during the pandemic, KOAM (Joplin) Chief Meteorologist Doug Heady did many forecasts from his son’s bedside at the hospital.

Heady’s son Christian has stage 4 cancer and has gone through countless treatments of chemo and other actions to try and save his life.

Sadly, it is not working and after months of Christian fighting the battle, Doug and his family have decided to stop treatment. They have made the heartbreaking decision to have Christian enter Hospice.
