Ida Makes Landfall
/Hurricane Ida came to shore with gusts at nearly 200 MPH.
As the storm hit, New Orleans station WGNO saw Ida pealing away the ceiling in the control room.
Buckets have been set up in the newsroom to catch the water falling from the roof.
Outside the station and you see some of the damage.
Watching some of the coverage by the local stations in the storm’s path and most are doing a very good job.
There are getting information out to the viewers and are even helping relay information to authorities for people that need to be rescued.
WGNO posted raw video of what is happening in the newsroom.
Sadly, they also tack an ad onto the front of the video.
A major storm is hitting the area, viewers are tuning to your platforms for potentially life-saving information and you are making them sit through an ad first?
Seriously?! For just one day can you make this about Journalism and not about making money. Just one freaking day!!!!
